SNet - the social networking software from Rapidsoft Technologies

Hi Everybody,
We, at Rapidsoft Technologies, came up with a thought to provide you with something different. Something different is here what I have been talking about for sometime now-- We are introducing our own social networking software package, 'SNet', that’s going to be launched this April. But wait, do not misunderstand me! Its not another social net site I’m talking about. What we are proving is a basic package of social network site that you can customize as per your need. It’s like owning your own social net site and choosing what you want and what not, which means we will provide you with the structure with all the additional support—depending on what and when you want to make changes to it. You will have certain common features with the package which are optional too—You can own an API for the site where you can name it anything you want, can have the features you wish and can integrate any third party application to this site. It gives you an opportunity to have one single social net site to maintain all your networks with all the features you need.

We are doing the BETA release on this April. So, this April onwards, the frustration of not finding your desired social net features in one site is going to be over. Its time now to bring all your network from different places under one shelter.

Hi Palak,

We wish you well in your new venture. I am a total newbie to this, but with new energy I want to learn all that there is. How can this benefit someone with desire to achieve great things, but not much practical experience?

Hi Beat,

Thanks a lot for your post and query. No matter if you are new to web 2.0 but if you can realize the power of it even now, you can leave your competitors way behind. Thats the power of web 2.0.

Web 2.0 is all about people, relation and conversation. Through our software, we will provide you with the platform to build and nurture your own network. We'll be also guiding you through the initial know-how to understand the technicalities. Also, we'll put the business views or benefits or 'why should you have it' - answered here in this blog, along with our product demo. Also, I'll be happy to contact you directly through email and give more info about web 2.0. You can drop me a line and I'll be happy to address.

Cheers,
Palak

Hi Palak,

I received a query from Kevin today, how would you like to justify it or do you have any answer for him? His post to me as follows:

I had the opportunity to look at your site and see your poll "Would you like to own a social networking site for $100 per month?"

Don't you think that's a bit much considering how your competitors are offering their services for free? Moreover, wouldn't that limit your customer base?

Have you considered having a higher initial setup fee and so then you can lower the monthly subscription costs?

For instance, the hugely popular "World of Warcraft" game from Blizzard Entertainment has over 10 million subscribers and only costs about $25 in Canada with a $14.99 monthly subscription fee.

Thanks Kevin for your suggestions and giving time through our details. As you know $100 per month is the poll posted by us just to get a general view, we haven't yet fixed on the price. We still have lot of time to decide on that as we are releasing the free trial from April 7th.

What we have decided for now is to give our users three different options to own this software package, follows:

1. Users can enjoy all the features and do everything what they want with this software on a minimal monthly charge($X) (as hosted solution).

2. Users can own this software on a contract basis for a time period (on monthly lease, can be hosted on either our or their server), again enjoying complete control over the software for ($X).

3. Giving the complete API to the users means selling the complete package.

And definitely the price for all the cases would be very much competitive again.

The customization feature is also applicable for all the cases.

We will also provide extensive support to our users like planning & promotion etc. So, the $100 per month figure can be anything from $1-$X. We will keep you informed as and when we come up with the figures but before that you need to try to understand its worthiness, right?

At this time our focus is to get more and more feedback from our users who will be using our free trial-to enhance it and make it as user friendly as possible

I will be happy to see more queries/suggestions from all of you. Please let me know if I answer your question there. And I'd also appreciate your feedback here.

Best regards,
Palak
